Dear Roland,
Forgive the brevity of his note, but I must be quick. Several of the women will be giving birth soon, and we must decide what to tell them. This cannot go on, not if we wish to be better than our enemies...

I admit, I keep too many secrets, but I got no choice, not in this business, not with what’s at stake. So I sent Amiri back to Africa and I knew he would be pissed, but word came down from Nancy, and when a pre-cog tells you to jump, you ask how high, along with when, where, and for how long. And it worked out. I mean, I don’t expect him to send me a thank you note, but if he hadn’t been there, if he hadn’t been the one to handle that mess, shit would have hit the fan. God. I can’t even imagine. What they found in that jungle, what was done to those people...I keep thinking it can’t get any worse, that the Consortium won’t sink lower, but they do. They always do. And now we have a mess on our hands, and for the first time in my life, I don’t know what to do. Those women, those babies...
None of them are going to be human. A new generation.
Holy God. We are in deep. Deeper than anyone ever dreamed.
And it’s only going to get worse.
Haven’t opened a file on Doctor Rikki Kinn yet. She’s still working for my buddy w/ the CDC, though how long that lasts is anyone’s guess. After what we found in the Congo...after what she discovered about herself, I don’t think she can ever really go back to her old life. I’m not sure she wants to. She and Amiri seem to be making something new for themselves. They’re a real team, on the same wavelength. Both have big secrets, big hurts, though they don’t seem to hold anything back from each other. Doctor Kinn is tough, smart, and stubborn as hell. I’m happy Amiri has her. I hope she agrees to a place with the agency. The other guys already love her - especially Eddie. She’s been a big help in his healing process. Not sure the kid could have made it without her.
Amiri’s Father - wild card. Imprisoned by the Consortium for years, and now he’s free. Would be nice if we could convince him to work for us, at least at the lab in the Congo, but that may be asking for too much.
Rictor is going to be an issue, too. Stripped off his powers, but still immortal? I can think of some uses for that. If he ever shows up again.
